Awlnight – “Purple Eighties” (Release)

Belarus producer Awlnight returns with full-length beat-tape Purple Eighties, out now with San Francisco beat label, Fuzzoscope. On Purple Eighties, Awlnight refines and polishes his 80’s electro-funk boogie flip style, taking it to a new level of production depth and sophistication. These tracks pop even more than the Awlnight projects I have heard in the past. Warm, chest thumping lows fill out the bottom end, and the highs shimmer and glow through an eighties vaporwave nostalgia. The project also features some choice collaborations with other like minded producers including ΔKTR, Weirddough, Akeedro, rtrspcth, and BSTFRND.

As always with Fuzzoscope, the project is available for free download, or as a limited edition cassette tape via their Bandcamp page. You can stream Purple Eighties below.
