Macklemore and Ryan Lewis recently released their debut album “The Heist” which reached number 2 on the Billboard charts with 78,000 units sold in it’s first week. Their success is incredible as the duo is still an independent act with no major record label involved.

In this short film I traveled to Seattle, Washington to spend the week with Macklemore and Ryan as they shot their now infamous “Thrift Shop” music video, and prepared for the release of “The Heist”. The two brought me into their indie lives and showed me what it takes day after day to reach the level of success they have.
