I think what I’m probably digging the most is how the Kelly Portis produced track drives the groove, and although I like what I’m hearing, I definitely wish it was longer. “Under The Influence” is the story of many young black and brown men who are influenced by drug and gang culture. Dre Manning takes you on that journey through his eyes as an adolescent. Plated over hard hitting drums and soul samples catered by Kelly Portis. Dre Manning and his fellow Creative Collective members take you behind the scenes of their recent photoshoot aided with an impromptu music video. Dre Mannings “1435” EP will be dropping this summer.
