Australian beat maker jhfly returns with islands out on Mt. Fuji Tapes. jhfly has the most serene, chill beats, while still maintaining a great sense of drama. Sparse atmospheres built around Fender Rhodes and guitar melodies drenched in melancholy. Lo-fi drum grooves that snap, crackle, and pop. Mt. Fuji Tapes’s cassettes are currently limited to only 25, so naturally they are no longer available, but islands is still available for download for $4 on Bandcamp.
