No Mean City Presents “Tony Styxx’ Indianpolis” (Video)

A new culturally fueled website focused on Indianapolis just recently launched, called No Mean City, and they had Tony Styxx talk to everyone about Indianapolis through one of his pieces. Watch the video above, which is a nicely edited video of Tony performing his piece, and read a bit more about Tony below. This really acts as both a music video and showcase.

Take a walking tour through Indianapolis with Tony Styxx as he pays tribute to his native Naptown. A spoken word poet, hip-hop artist, and human beatbox, Styxx graduated from Broad Ripple High School in Midtown and now teaches poetry and hip-hop to K-12 students through Arts for Learning Indiana.

Since becoming an entertainer at 18, Styxx has performed at TEDxIndy and the Independent Music and Art Festival, as well as with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. He was selected for the IndyHub 1828 Project, which empowers young leaders in civic involvement.

I'm just trying to make my art and do what's smart. Cake donuts are clutch.
