Pat Van Dyke – “Right On Time” (Release) | @PVDMusic @jakartarecords

Pat Van Dyke has got some smooth jazzy instrumentals for us, as he released his Right On Time album about ten days ago. If you’re digging the sounds you hear, you can hit up Bandcamp to cop and/or buy the vinyl from Jakarta Records.

Pat Van Dyke is an American multi- instrumentalist, composer, producer, and bandleader, currently residing in New Jersey. He produced several records with different notable artists, such as Sadat X (Brand Nubian), John Robinson (Scienz of Life), EL Da Sensei (Artifacts) and many more. Pat’s music has been featured on broadcast television shows such as NBC’s “Last Call with Carson Daly”, cable networks like MTV, VH1, Esquire and the Oxygen Network, as well as viral videos from the likes of VICE Magazine. He got UK-Radio spins from taste makers such as Gilles Peterson. “Right On Time” has the typical Pat Van Dyke sound with a funky touch to it. He mixes true-school hip hop & experimental electronic music with the rich harmony & refreshing subtlety of jazz. Drawing from a diverse range of sounds, his music features live instrumentation alongside analog synthesizers, vintage keyboards, and lush horn sections, straddling the boundaries of electronic music, jazz, and golden era hip-hop. A breath of fresh air in the days of overdone jazz sample based rap beats.
