Pope Adrian Bless “Neighborhood Lights” Release | @AdrianBlessRWG

Today is May 28th, and that happens to be Pope Adrian Bless‘ birthday. Being so, his long-awaited debut album, titled Neighborhood Lights, has been unleashed to us all. The project is 14-tracks deep and features production and rhymes from Harry Otaku, Mandog, Bangers by One, Diop, MakWolfPreach, Sciren and JL. Free listens below and you can cop the project per the name-your-price feature over at Bandcamp. Read some words from him below as well.

In the wake of honesty, I have no real words. There isn’t many things I could say but being able to create this album has been a joy of mine (as well as a journey). In the process of creating the project, I wanted to experiment more with sounds and structure and what things were going to sound like on new pallets. I can classify this as a “Hip Hop Album”, but I feel as though I’d be lying. I had to learn to accept who I was and what came with that, which translated over into this body of work. My team and I, collectively, pushed the envelope to insure something that we could all sit back and be proud of. We figure we did. We did. Thank you for being open to the idea, also. Lights…on.

I'm just trying to make my art and do what's smart. Cake donuts are clutch.
