Samurai Shin – “The Prelude EP” (Release)

Press play on a new beat tape project with a few raps, Samurai Shin‘s The Prelude EP, that dropped about a month ago. This project is not just simply a music project though, as it’s also a comic book series with a hip hop influence. The project features tracks and features from Kuro Silence, Metaphor The Great, Keem The Cipher, Nodfather, Xia-Dawn, Daman Mills, Core Demonstration, DP (from Chill$quad), and Torae.

Mikel Miles and Ivan Earl Aguilar are the two creative minds behind Samurai Shin, a Hip-Hop inspired manga comic and Soundtrack series the two launched last year. Samurai Shin is highly influenced by anime such as Afro Samurai, Samurai Champloo, and Sword Of The Stranger. Now With Added Members on The Team Harley Dela Cruz, Fahmi Fauzi, Sukma Agustriyana & Lavender Khan.

Samurai Shin is a manga written by Mikel Miles. We’ve been doing some promo for them as of late, but today we finally have the release of “The Prelude” EP. We’ve released a couple joints from the record already but it features heavyweights like Torae, Metaphor The Great and others on the mic. This EP harkens back to the times of Samurai Champloo where Nujabees, Fat Jon, DJ Tsutchie and Force of Nature came together to provide in my opinion one of the best soundtracks known to man. I digress, “The Prelude” EP is filled with lyrical and instrumental cuts guaranteed to take you in a time machine back to the Champloo days.
