Okayplayer is proud to host the official premiere of “We Run the Night,” the new single from Organized Noize co-founder and ATLien soul legend Sleepy Brown. This jam has pretty much everything you could ask for in a springtime anthem; shimmery synths on the intro, knocking steppers drums, a hook that’s half George Benson, half Flourgon–and Sleepy’s trademark falsetto throughout. Even better, this may be a sign that his new LP Sex, Drugs & Soul–which has been threatening to drop since the fall through Brown’s own 13 Black record label–may finally be on the way. Considering Sleepy’s basically an honorary Goodie Mobster and Outkaster as well, it could be a sign of other things in the works, too–and all of those things are good.

I'm just trying to make my art and do what's smart. Cake donuts are clutch.
