    BDTB Presents: Favorite Releases of 2011



    We decided a few weeks ago to put together a list of our favorite projects this year. Locally, globally, hip hop, eclectic, and instrumental wise. We also want to state that this is by no means a “best of” list, just the projects that Jay Diff and myself were bumping and/or feeling the most. We each chose 25 hip hop releases, 10 eclectic and/or instrumental releases, and came together and chose a few local projects. We suggest you check out anything we post, but being said, we REALLY suggest checking out these projects:

    Tony Styxx x LONEgevity “It’s Bigger Than Me” Release | @Tony_Styxx @lonegevity



    The BDTB sponsored collaborative project by emcee Tony Styxx and producer LONEgevity is here. They initially linked up in February of 2011, and after recording their first song together, Me & My Cadillac, decided to do a complete project. Be on the lookout for physical copies!

    The project features vocals from alpha.live, Gritts, Skittz, Blake Allee, OutSpok!N, Scoot Dubbs, Grady, and LONEgevity. Cuts provided by DJ Spoolz and DJ Deadrisk. Support that dope Naptown Hip Hop.

    Impromptu Performance by InfreRed, LONEgevity & DV8 @ The Melody Inn (Video)



    After alpha.live addressed the crowd at the show this last Wednesday night (6/22/11), he pulls some local emcees in the building to the stage to hold down the crowd before the Tornado Alley took the stage. DV8 puts down the beat for InfreRed and then again for Hinx Jones‘ own Lonegevity. Shouts to Spitten Writtens for the video.
