    Our monthly producer showcase got pushed back last week until tonight, and the date is now here! Tonight we will showcasing Bang’s Nicely‘s (DJ Cool Hand Lex) upcoming instrumental album, along with producer’s El Carnicero and Mr. Kinetik. #Naptown will be in the building. Only 5$, and with every Writer’s Block event you producers will be able to showcase your tracks to everyone in the spot at the end of the night on the open decks!     Upcoming Event: BDTB/DJ MetroGnome Present Writer’s Block w/ Slot-A & Echomaker (5/6/13) | @IAMSLOTA @echomaker5


    After a month hiatus, DJ MetroGnome & us at BDTB are back with the regularly scheduled program for our Writer’s Block event at Sabbatical (in Indianapolis). This months Writer’s Block event will feature Chicago by way of Michigan talent Slot-A, as well as the production/live stylings of Indianapolis’ Echomaker.

    Additionally, as with all our Writer’s Block events, producers and emcees are encouraged to come out and mingle, network, and talk with each other. The producers at the end of the night will have the opportunity to play beats of their own on the open decks. COME BUILD BRIDGES AND SHOWCASE YOURSELF!

    BDTB Presents: The Wrap Up Magazine: Volume 1, Issue 1


    Below you will find the debut of our Wrap Up magazine. The intended goal of this was to showcase some of the artists in Indianapolis and the midwest vigilantly pursuing their dreams and goals. Hopefully this will showcase into the lives of a few artists you weren’t familiar with before.

    For our first issue, we decided to interview the winners from each category of our first ever yearly Wrap Up voting (which you can check out here). The winners of this years Wrap Up were EJAAZ, DJ MetroGnome, Sirius Blvck with Digital Rabbit, Blake Allee, The Pro Letarians, and Lonegevity. We also have an interview with Chicago reppers Slot-A, Mike Schpitz, Papi Jamon, and DJ Ves120. Check the full publication out below, and feel free to give us some feedback!     Starting in January 2013, DJs from Indianapolis will begin stage one of the battle for the coveted title of Red Bull Thre3style National Champion – a title that comes with bragging rights; cash prizes; a stamp of approval from some of the best DJs in the world including DJ Jazzy Jeff, Z-Trip and A-Trak; …and a ticket to compete in the Red Bull Thre3style World Finals in December.

    Red Bull Thre3Style is an innovative concept that gives highly skilled DJs a global platform to showcase their skills, battle and gain notoriety by rockin’ the dance floor. Unlike other DJ battles that are based on solely technical aspects, Red Bull Thre3style has a creative and original format that seeks to find the DJ that has best perfected the true art of rockin’ the party. Competing DJs are given 15 minutes and the challenge to play three different genres of music while keeping the crowd rockin’ on the dance floor. A panel of music industry judges will select the winners based on track selection, creativity, mixing skills, stage presence and crowd reaction. Whoever is named best on the decks gets bragging rights a prize purse and advances to the next step on the road to the world finals.
