The Kid Daytona‘s recent Running With The Bulls release gets a visual for the ILL Brown produced track off of the project. Be on the lookout for ILL Brown being one of the featured producers at our Writer’s Block producer showcase on in the next couple months too.
br> The Kid Daytona and DJ Ozone just dropped their new collaboration project Running With The Bulls. This mixtape has 11 tracks and guest appearances and production by the likes of GLC, Naledge, Broadway, Chance The Rapper, Wes P, ILL Brown and more. Download after the jump.
The Kid Daytona hit the midwest for some shows – Chicago, bloomington, and Ohio. While on the tour in December, he met DJ/Producer and tastemaker – Dj Ozone, and the two discussed working on some music. Daytona has always had deep roots and love in the Chicago area, and has always felt a bond with the talent coming from the Midwest – from KNAWLEDGE, CHUCK ENGLISH, YP, CHANCE THE RAPPER, GLC, BROADWAY, ILL BROWN, and others. The fruits of that experience spawned forth Daytona’s latest project “Runnin With The Bulls”. Take a ride with Daytona as he teams up with some of good friends from the Midwest on this new Mixtape “Runnin With The Bulls”.
I remember seeing a video of Illz and Daytona in Chicago a few months back working on this mug. Actually, check the video below. So now, 3-4 months later, we get the recorded version of the track that will be on The Kid Daytona and DJ Ozone‘s upcoming Runnin’ With The Bulls. Check the dopeness below.
Emcee Preach and producer ILL Brown have been working on some collaborative works, and here’s the latest joint that they’ve shared. Additionally, check Illz about a week ago as he introduced The Kid Daytona to Harold’s Chicken and some of his heaters.
The homie ILL Brown handles the production on the latest single from Midwest Murda 2 mixtape that features G-Scott and Tre G. Give this a listen and download below.
G-Scott and Tre G are a little sleep deprived in “No Sleep,” the first release off the upcoming Str8 Slammin’ / Nerve DJs mixtape, “Midwest Murda 2,” which has original music from Freddie Gibbs, G-Scott & Str8 Slammin. Also new music from Hit, T Eazy, YP, Chella, Chief Keef, Richie Stack, King Louie, D-Edge AN more.
For the eleventh year of the Oranje Festival here in Indianapolis, we joined up with them as a sponsor, put together a mobile sound recording booth, and recorded attendees who were brave enough to step into the life of a recording artist. Below are the 10 beats that we selected in our producer contest a week before the event, and below the producer tracks are the 37 recordings that happened live during the festival. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, and we hope you get a good laugh at everything you hear below! If you just want to download everything together as an entire file feel free to hit the like button below to grab it in a one large zip file. Otherwise, have fun sifting! We’ll post our montage video of the time-lapsed photo’s at a later date, so make sure to check back soon!
(NOTE: If you already like BDTB on facebook highlight the check-mark like button and hit the little “x” that pops up, then hit like again and your link will appear.)
Pete Sayke (Left), ILL Brown (Middle), Maja 7th (Right)
Producer ILL Brown has been working with Emcee Preach on some new things, and these two songs below are ones that ILL Brown let go on his Soundcloud last week. Additionally, I’ve added the joint they did called Gospel that they let go about a month ago.
As a side note, the picture above is actually a throwback from 2008 that I randomly found on a google image search, and in light of the Bears x Packers game tonight it seemed fitting.
How about a BDTB presented single? Chicago emcee Papi Jamon and Indianapolis producer LONEgevity linked up a few months ago and knocked out a 7-track EP entitled Connect Game. This track here, which features Hinx Jones (duo of Gritts and Lonegevity), is the second single off of their upcoming free project. Mastered by ILL Brown. Make sure to check out their previous single Phony Rappers if you haven’t already.

Here’s the newest project from Chicago’s Grumpy Old Men. If you aren’t familiar with these cats yet (even though you should be), they are a two-man emcee duo made up of Kansas emcee Mike Schpitz, and Cincinnati bred Pete Sayke.
Their new project, entitled #FreeLunch, is the mixtape of mixtapes. Mixed with brand new songs, and songs done over borrowed beats that are simply just as good if not better than the originals, this is a very solid follow up to their previous Sunday Skool.
