Here’s the first of many from an upcoming series from Swerve and producer SYG. This track is produced by DJ Mentos though. Look for something from SYG on the 15th? We’ll see.
This is the first drop from the new Swerve & SYG series titled “Pay Day”. Which means on the 1st and the 15th of each month you will get a new track from either Swerve or SYG. Could be a freestyle, video, song, lo-fi, or whatever. Basically just things that won’t make any album/mixtape cuts that we want to release. So from here on out. Every pay day you’ll get a gift from us as well. Happy New Years Everyone. Love.

Dig on No Life Guard On Duty and its melodic beat coming from Rav. P and Swerve. They have been working on a new project called, Weed & Wine EP. You can check out their other stuff from the EP here.

After a few singles in the last couple weeks, Swerve just recently dropped off his free full-length project entitled The Barrelhouse LP. Features and production include DJ Mentos, D-Rock, Co$$, J57, SYG, Sene, Ridla, and Soul Survivor’s. Stream and download this below.
Barrelhouse Background: Also known as a juke joint or a bar or saloon. The term originates from the storage of barrels of alcohol that were often turned into tables around the bar. Barrelhouse’s were set up on the outskirts of town, often in ramshackle buildings or private houses, they offered food, drinks, dancing and gambling for weary workers. They also birthed many genre’s of Blues and provided a circuit for emerging artists to travel and perform. The owners would often tend bar themselves and usually make extra money selling groceries or moonshine to patrons, or providing cheap room and board.

Here’s another joint off of Swerve‘s upcoming The Barrelhouse LP. Track produced by D-Rock.

Here’s yet another single off of Swerve‘s upcoming project entitled The Barrelhouse LP. Track produced by Brown Bag AllStar producer J57.
I think at one time or another most people comes to a point on their path where they start contemplating (or fantasizing) about grabbing what/who they care about most and leaving their current situation behind for a simpler life. That “something” is different for everyone, but for me it was the California coast, and it was in 2008. This is that story and needless to say, I couldn’t convince her to do it.

Here’s the second single off of Swerve‘s upcoming project, The Barrelhouse LP, dropping on 2dopeboyz on 7/18/12. Track produced by DJ Mentos. Check his first single here.

More often than not in music today we hear about societies obsessions with Hoes,Liquor,Weed,Money & other various vices, but rarely do we talk about what in our life has brought us to this mindset. This song describes that feeling. Thank you for listening and spending a few moments with our music, we hope you enjoy every second.
