Vic Spencer & Sulaiman “We’re Just Disapointed” | @Sulaiman_ @VicSpencer

Check this out… fresh out the box
“Blind I For The Kids in association with Brainiac Society present the collaborative effort from Blind I/Treated/Phedz affiliate Sulaiman and Brainiac Society’s Vic Spencer entitled ‘We’re Just Disappointed’.The project is a lyrical embodiment of the frustration stemming from two outliers navigating a realm of scene hoes, wack rappers, janky promoters, anonymous blog commenters, and all-around bitchassness. They’ve seen what the status quo has to offer, and frankly, they’re Just Disappointed.
With stellar production from M. Stacks, Black Spade, Statik Selektah, Constrobuz, NAMELESS, Nez & Rio, Maja 7th, Beat Maker Beat, and features from Naledge of Kidz In The Hall, Simeon of The Primeridian, Alex P. Keaton, D2G, Yung Word Mann, and Gzus Piece, Vic & Sulaiman are able to vividly depict the definition of Disappointment in a manner that everyone can relate to.
13 tracks of dope shit, tailor made to make a change by actually BEING the change.“
Pete Sayke “THE NEW BLACK”

It’s June 22nd. Finally.
br> br>
That simply means that Pete Sayke has released The New Black (in association with Bettye Lee Music and Bringing Down The Band). A 13 track mixtape with features from the likes of Mike Schpitz, Papi Jamon, Briana & Buckdub of Ladies Runnit, Lonegevity & Gritts of Hinx Jones, and production work from the likes of Maja 7th, Ill Brown, Mic Noize, and Lonegevity. This is a thoroughly
Track Listing
01 – Beautiful

03 – What It Sounds Like ft. Mike Schpitz (Produced by Maja 7th)
04 – Make It Work ft. Buckdub of Ladies Runnit
05 – No One But You ft. Briana of Ladies Runnit
06 – Love Song: A Vagina Monologue
07 – Slow It Down ft. Hinx Jones (Produced by Lonegevity)
08 – The Office
09 – IXL

11 – The Welfare II (Produced by ILL Brown)
12 – Three’s Company (Produced by Maja 7th)
13 – The New Black (Produced by Mic Noize)
I’ve had the luxury of listening to this project a few times, and can say that it is definitely up to par with all of his previous releases, if not better. Even back to his KM2 days. KM2? Nevermind. He starts out the project out with 3 straight bangers, including the single with Mike Schpitz, and then goes through a few songs describing stages of relationships with the help of Ladies Runnit (additionally one of my favorite concepts in “Love Song”). He then slows it down with Hinx Jones, talks about his cubicle and boss, and then just completely snaps for God knows how many bars in IXL. “Stop take, rewind, take that back a couple lines please.” Papi Jamon jumped on a track that I love seeing live in “The Bump”, and then he closes out out the project giving a little more of the personal and introspective Pete Sayke. The New Black has everything. One of my favorite releases this year. Get to know Pete Sayke!

The New Black Leak: Pete Sayke featuring Mike Schpitz (Produced by Maja 7th) “What It Sounds Like”

br>
Pete Sayke, in association with Bettye Lee Music, So City Promotions, and Bringing Down The Band, is about to release Pete’s new mixtape THE NEW BLACK; dropping on June 22nd. The project has been mixed by the one and only ILL Brown. I’ve had the pleasure of listening to the final version, and can say without a doubt that it’s one of my favorite releases so far this year. It’s a very dope project. I’m a fan.
br>
The first song leaking from the project is a song produced by Maja 7th featuring wordsmith Mike Schpitz. These 3 Chicago cats have come together to create “What It Sounds Like”, which touches on the art of creating a sound that the artist likes. It’s a dope tune. I’ve been playing the hell out of this song. Listen, download, and come up with your own interpretation of what it sounds like.

Gritts “Grittstape”

br>
I posted my Sessions project on bandcamp, and now heres Gritts’ that dropped about a month after mine last year (early June). We released it, but this I wanted to get this out there and make it easier to access. This is the second solo project Gritts has released, although this is probably the only one you’ll be able to find. I’m a fan of this project, and not because I had something to do with it. Check this out and download it!!

LONEGEVITY “SESSIONS”

br>
I dropped this project a little over a year ago, but have yet to post it here on BDTB. My whole idea with this project was to somewhat establish myself as a vocalist/emcee, since I was known for production. I went out and grabbed tracks from my favorite producers, and even took time to research and found a couple dudes I hadn’t heard of before. I didn’t use any track that had been remade a million times. They were all from instrumental series, or personal tracks from some producers I’ve ran into along my journey. Check this out if you haven’t and let me know what you think. I put it up on bandcamp for you all to preview.
