Gina is not only an ode to the nerds out here struggling, but also the first single, and a midwest collaboration, from Allen Poe‘s upcoming Pocket Full of Ohms album. The track is produced by Nemo Achida, features Tanya Morgan’s Von Pea and Poe’s Basement Up crew, and the project is due out in the fall.

Allen Poe (1/3 of Frankfort KY’s MC trio Basement Up) started out recording by overdubbing tapes in his bedroom in the mid 90s. He wrote rhymes all the time and built songs to any instrumentals he could get…and that’s still the story today.
