Black Thought & 9th Wonder – “Streams Of Thought, Vol. 1” (Release)

Insert Sam Cassell grin.

Black Thought and 9th Wonder have joined forces for a quick five-track project in Streams of Thought, Vol. 1. The project features Rapsody, Styles P and KIRBY – and track five was produced by Khrysis of the Soul Council. Black Thought does GOAT-like things as he always does, and 9th gives us five solid, thoroughly chopped grooves that fits The Roots front-man perfectly. This is going on the hard drive and on repeat. Additionally, I’ve added a 30-minute video interview with NPR below, too.

“Visual art has always been an inspiration. I was a visual artist when I was younger. Every type of medium, but it was my mode of expression before music. For this project I wanted the best artwork, especially from other Black artists with similar reference points. Rashid and I both explore memory. For Rashid it’s through his materials. African soap and wax, both familiar to his childhood. His pieces have a internal rhythm (follow his hand marks). And it’s about the individual and collective angst.” – Black Thought

I'm just trying to make my art and do what's smart. Cake donuts are clutch.
