Kiefer – “Kickinit Alone” (Release)

Keyboardist and producer Kiefer has just released his debut LP, Kickinit Alone, with Stones Throw affiliate label, Leaving Records. Kiefer is blowing up, and for good reason. In so, I’ve been hearing this guys’ name on a lot of tongues lately.

Keifer’s debut LP arrives just in time, and does not disappoint, as he’s been on tour as a part of the Mndsgn live trio alongside Swarvy. He’s collaborated with Ivan Ave and Kaytranada. He’s been filling up his SoundCloud with lots of heat as well. Kickinit Alone is a very satisfying instrumental project which blends up jazz, and funk instrumentation with a post-hip-hop awareness. Kiefer’s level of musicianship and jazz style, mixed with his sense of raw production really sets him apart from his peers.

Available for download, LP, or cassette via the Leaving Records Bandcamp, and the Stones Throw web store. Check out Kickinit Alone, and be on the lookout for more from this ambitious up and comer.
