Mos Def (aka Yasiin Bey) Cancels Indianapolis Show at The Vogue (5/31/13) – The Show Will Go On

As I’m sitting here making plans for an after party, I hear news that Mos Def (aka Yasiin Bey) has cancelled his solo performance at The Vogue next Friday (5/31/13). The show would have also featured Naptown’s own Kool’s Bazaar and The Proforms. Check out The Vogue‘s site for any further information. Refunds are being offered from point of sale, but the show has now been turned into a free event with a couple other Naptown opening acts.

The May 31 MOS DEF show has been cancelled. Here is the press release/email we received from his brother/manager today.

“I hate to inform you that unfortunately Yasiin will have to cancel his Indianapolis show along with the rest of his US shows for the foreseeable future. Unforeseen circumstances have arisen that will prevent Yasiin from participating in the upcoming Indianapolis event. Yasiin is extremely apologetic for this turn of events. If there was any other option I would have exhausted that possibility. Out of respect for you guys I didn’t see any benefit in prolonging this news once I received it. This is really difficult for Yasiin as he was really looking to coming to Indianapolis for the first time.”

Refunds are available at point of purchase.

The Vogue will still open with the local support acts DJ’s & bands. The event will be a FREE EVENT now.
We will be adding 1-2 more local hiphop acts.”
