UK pianist and beat maker 〄 DJM 〄 brings us SILENCE’S GARDEN, his latest beat-tape out via Acorn Tapes. Usually known for playing his own instruments, it appears that Dominic John Marshall is primarily in sample mode here, repossesing old jazz records. He flips and restitches them into sophisticated flowing modern grooves. These tracks have a great vintage texture, and a whole lot of bounce. A very creative beat-tape. Don’t sleep.
