“You live life, love, lose love and people leave. Life is a story itself, so as I live life, I get inspired by existing in it.” – Pharoahe Monch

The New Old Heads‘ own Maja 7th got a chance to talk with the legendary Pharoahe Monch before his performance at the Jazz Kitchen in Indianapolis in early 2018, as he was on tour with DJ Boogie Blind. They talked everything from what keeps him moving and making new music, where he pulls inspiration from, him being from Queens, whether him and Organized Konfusion / ATCQ came first in the 80’s – as well as a few stories on it, working with Denaun Porter, his favorite hip hop albums, thoughts on his upcoming/unreleased new music and its direction and more.
